Exeron GmbH
Based in Oberndorf on the edge of Germany’s Black Forest, Exeron GmbH is a world leader in Electro Discharge Machining (EDM) and High Speed Cutting (HSC) technologies, developing its own machines to create a high performance portfolio of erosion and machining systems. The company was formed in 1966 as a development partner for AEG-Elotherm, developing its first independent product a vertical erosion machine in 1978. Since that first machine Exeron has been a technology leader in both erosion and metalcutting, introducing ground breaking technology along the way.
Its portfolio now includes stand-alone EDM and HSC machines as well as highly technical automated systems allowing it to provide solutions for a wide range of customers. Its EDM range covers table sizes from 550 x 350 mm through to 2500 x 1350 mm and feature fully simultaneous axis movement controlled by a Windows-based CN control. The HSC range features machines with table sizes from 200 x 250 mm through to 1000 x 900 mm with spindle speeds up to 42,000 revs/min. The flagship of the range is the recently introduced HSC MP7 / 5, five-axis, gantry-type machine with linear direct drives providing optimum rigidity and damping to deliver high performance machine dynamics, high precision and perfect workpiece quality.
